I need someone to roll my eyes at when these two dropkicks from my classes last year say something idiotic. Which is essentially when they say anything at all. Real talk though, one of them didn’t know the difference between punctuality and punctuation, and the other blames the world’s problems on welfare recipients. She was in my media class and when we would go through the paper and analyse stuff as a class, as soon as the London riots or the Arab spring or anything like that came up, she would just roll her eyes, say “and this is why I don’t believe in the dole” and go back to googling pictures of Ed Westwick on the iPad her father bought her as a goodbye present. Like her ‘goodbye from Auckland for 10 weeks’ present, not like ‘goodbye I’m going to live in Sudan for 7 years here is an iPad so we can skype’ present.
